Shanghai Oriental International Fisheries Centre Market (SOIFCM) is invested jointly by Shanghai Fisheries General Corp. (Group), Shanghai Dacheng Assets Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Yangpu Commercial Management Co., Ltd. It is located in 2855 Jungong Rd., District Yangpu, Shanghai. construction area 110,000 sq. m. Volume of business is 400,000 ton and volume of trade is CNY 400,000. It accounts for 40 per cent of aquatic products trading market in Shanghai.
The marketplace belongs to the plot of Jungong Road along Huangpu River with 250 meter long shoreline of Huangpu River. It has built five unload wharfs and one ice-added wharf, which can be berthed by vessel with 1000 to 3000 tonnages and one special-purpose railway line. The gate of the marketplace faces on the turnpike road----Jungong Road, adjacent to Xiangyin Tunnel and Mid Ring Viaduct, which is combined to traffic net with Outer Ring Viaduct, also it will connect with Changxing Island and Chongming Island through planned Tunnel or Bridge. All above facilitates fishing vessels from Provinces of Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Fujian and Shandong and trucks from Yangtse River Delta Region coming for transaction. It is really located in traffic hub combined by highway, railway and harbour which facilitates marketing, logistics and aquatic product circulation.
The first phase of construction for transaction field occupied 14,000 sq. m, which is used to collecting frozen and freeze aquatic products. Also two cold storages are rebuilt to reach total volume 24,000 ton. One is 8000 ton which is controlled by computer for storing, transportation. Both 1300 berths on the first floor and 600 business offices on the second floor are built for the purpose of engaging in such various aquatic products transactions as frozen, freeze, fresh, salted and dried, wined and seafood. High End Aquatic Products Showroom occupied 4000 sq. m. displays high level products, fined-processed products and new developed products from home and aboard. The park area in the marketplace can park 800 vehicles and it is supported by water plant, sewage treatment plant, and gas station. 15 per cent of the total area is covered by trees & flowers. |

With respect to software disposal, it aims at international fisheries service management and technology, setting up one centre and five systems. That is: a) setting up food detection service centre for strenthening product quality control & detection, tracing and publishing relative information on food standard, issuing fisheries products notarization for the government and society, so ensuring the quality and hygiene from headstream of supply; b) setting up backstage support service system such as world wide web business and bank, industry and commerce, commodity inspection, tax administration, fisheries law & inspection; c) setting up real-time price information system, connecting with each large wholesale marketplace in the world, providing and publishing general trend of supply and demand for fisheries products in the world, real-time marketing price and price index, building up and promoting world wide transaction web system; d) implementing putting up frozen products and unique feature products at electronic auction, including building up electronic auction hall with 200 sq.m, LED and information-published system by touchable screen, linking up with the international transaction form; e) setting up electronic supervisor system for supervising daily marketing running situation overall; f) setting up comprehensive automatic office system to realize office management modernization. |
